DV Work Aware
DV Work Aware is a program of the National Working Women’s Centres that has been developed to raise awareness and promote best practice responses to issues of domestic and family violence in the workplace. The key objectives of the program are to:
- increase knowledge and awareness of domestic and family violence as a workplace issue
- support employees affected by domestic and family violence and enhance the capacity of workplaces to respond to issues of domestic and family violence that impact at work
- encourage informed actions by workplaces in responding to domestic and family violence by providing free and easy to understand resources for diverse groups as well as to provide accessible servicesto support management and employees to take actions toward the prevention of domestic and family violence.

And they offer some important tips and advice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees affected by domestic and family violence through their Stay Safe – Stay Strong message.
Stay Safe – Stay Strong encourages employees to ‘tell’ and ‘ask ’ – to break the silence on violence and seek the support at work. To access this information, click here.
